Real actors, including Ashley Tisdale, provide the look and voices of the characters. The Dark Pictures: Little Hope features high-quality graphics. The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes allows you to play alone, in co-op mode over the Internet or as part of the so-called Movie Night, where individual players sit in front of the same screen and control selected characters. How their fates will turn out, as well as which protagonists will survive or how (and when) they will die, depends on our actions and the choices we make. In the course of the game we can take control over several characters who roam various locations, solve environmental puzzles and face various challenges - from arcade to clashes and escaping from adversaries.
Similarly to the two previous parts of the series, in The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes we observe the action from film shots. During the game we follow the fate of American soldiers who, exploring the ancient underground, awaken the ancient evil. The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes takes us to the Middle East, to be precise - to the region reminiscent of the Afghan Hindu Kush.
The project was developed by Supermassive Games studio and was published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Similarly to the two previous parts of the series, Man of Medan and Little Hope, the production in question is a horror adventure. House of Ashes is a subtitle of the third part of The Dark Pictures Anthology series.
