I have always preferred Folder organisation to Tags even in Evernote. Folder structure means a decent organisation structure. WISIWYG editor is pretty good compared to Joplin and can be extended easily with community plugins. Files are all local but synced to OneDrive. Obsidian - Of all the ones I have tried I keep coming back to this and am making the transition. Joplin - Like that it is local but not familiar enough with Mark-up to use it well and don't have the energy to put into it for now. Nimbus and Notion - Similar to Evernote 10 in that everything is in the cloud and don't like the way it works for me.
Don't like the way it handles PDF but like the note taking and Organisation Structure OneNote - My work is O365 so have moved all my work stuff to here. Have Tried loads of the Alternatives and here are my views on some of the most common ones mentioned here. After being a User of 10 Years I have decided to Jump ship both the roll out of ver 10 and the loss of local files as a backup (Still available through the Legacy I know) and the new pricing structure.
